Graphic design can be a boon for your website or curse if done wrongly. Visual pleasure is the strongest asset and quality of any website which makes them a visitor attracting medium. No matter how good your online content and information is useful for the end user, if it is not presented well and have unattractive graphic design, visitors would not devote enough time to see your website and would exit it quickly. Graphic designing is an art it is the designer’s job of combining art with technology for better functionality.

I browsed the Da Font recently and I decide to share the most “destroyed” fonts with you. All of these fonts are free for personal use. You can download them by visiting Da Font and don’t forget to visit the Font Authors personal site. Grunge fonts are more likely identified by their texture details and sometimes erratic in posture, weight or height.
I got two grunge fonts created by Andrew 2 Hart and three others by Last Soundtrack. In the end of my font review I come up with StereoType’s new font, which titled “Base 02”. Click each font’s title and its illustration to start the download.

Today’s tutorial is different than before. I want to share you an easy tutorial of how to create Swirls in Illustrator.
Decorative swirls are loved nowadays; people always use this style along with natural element into their design. I know that there are lots of tutorials which are sound similar with mine. Well the idea is to create swirly curls, but my technique would probably different than any others. The twirl effect result is having some hazy kind of curls, so I guess it would be interesting.

The new Solomon font is characterized by well-finished geometric designs as well as optimized kerning. The type family includes 12 design styles divided into text family and display (or decorative) family group.

The PNG image file format is not new to the web. It originally developed in the mid-90s as a solution to the shortcomings of the traditional GIF image file format. However, because early browser applications offered only spotty support for the PNG’s advanced features, web designers, developers were limited in its use. One large hurdle in particular faced by PNG’s was Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE). Far and away the most popular browser, IE offered particularly poor support for the file format. However, with the release of IE 7 as well as several JavaScript hacks, this has all changed, and PNGs are more popular than ever. (more…)

In the past two years, increased browser support has transformed CSS3 from a fringe activity for Safari geeks to a viable option for enterprise level websites. While cross-browser support is often too weak for CSS3 to hold up a site’s main design, front-end developers commonly look to CSS3 solutions for progressive enhancement in their sites. For instance, a developer might add a drop-shadow in Firefox, Safari and Chrome using -moz-box-shadow and -webkit-box-shadow, and then be comfortable with this design enhancement falling off for IE users.
